So, Positively Thrive - what is it?

It’s yoga.  But not just poses.  Yes, it does include postures, but it’s so much more.  It’s about getting to know yourself a bit deeper every month through goal setting, breathing, affirmations, concentration, meditation and journaling.  In fact, yoga is all about stilling our internal chatter.  And when we do that, we bring about awareness and consequently positive change into our often hectic lives. Giving ourselves a little bit of ‘aaahhhhh’ after giving to everyone else.  


And of course, there will be yoga poses.

To thrive- ‘to grow or develop well or vigorously. To prosper; to flourish’. 

My monthly series of psychology inspired yoga uniquely take an East meets West approach. Using the best of current wellbeing thinking (read more here) and blending it with yogic, spiritual principles at their core, these monthly workshops will support you to grow, develop and help your wellbeing flourish in everyday life.

And why is that good for me?

Let’s face it, life can throw a few curveballs our way.  Running on that endless treadmill, trying to ‘keep all the plates spinning’, or overwhelm, exhaustion, anxiety, loss and depression can all set us back.  And often we’re not well equipped to deal with it all. My Positively Thrive Series are designed to help you take back control of your wellbeing and become more resilient at dealing with the tricky stuff life throws at us.  To find joy, ease and balance.  Put simply, to thrive.  And who doesn’t need a bit of that?

How does it work?

We explore 10 monthly themes outlined by Patanjali in the original text of The Yoga Sutras detailing the ethical and moral codes of yoga. These are combined with the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, and combined with challenges to bring them to life - and off the mat.
